Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s speech in the National Assembly

Islamabad, 10 June 2021: Speaking at the National Assembly, the Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party appealed to the Speaker NA that he should assure the members that he will run the House and the Standing Committees in such a manner that we the members can resolve the issues facing people and not increase their problems.

Chairman Bilawal said that the issue under discussion is a very important for all of us. Pakistan is already a polarised society that we in the TV shows physically fight with each other. If we want to solve people’s problems then the treasury benches will have to listen to the opposition’s point of view. One sided legislations will be weak. In the entire world both treasury and opposition point of views are listened to. We want a legislation with good points from the government and opposition both. Such legislations will be able to solve problems of the Pakistani people. If you do not listen to us and not allow us to speak, you will pass the bill in the Standing Committees by force and then table in the NA, will be snatching our rights.

Chairman Bilawal said that the governments want to introduce electronic voting machines in the name of electoral reforms. We all want to give voting rights to the oversees Pakistanis and we all want to do that but this is very important bill. There could be many consequences of this bill. We have to discuss this bill in detail. The oversees living abroad do not know the problems of constituencies. They can have their own constituency and members. He should not compete a Pakistani in the constituency rather have their own constituency and compete with other Pakistanis abroad and represent overseas Pakistanis.

Regarding electronic voting machines, Chairman Bilawal said that can you guarantee that India and RAW will not be able to hack our machines and change the results. If the government has taken measures to protect the votes then the opposition should be informed about that. He said that if the government wanted to give Kulbhushan Jadhav any relief then why you gave the relief through an ordinance in the darkness of the night. If the government wanted to reach a consensus on the issue it could have consulted the opposition but did not do so. You wanted to be an ambassador of Kashmir but emerged as the counsel of Jadhav. The government should give us time to read and discuss the issue so that we can tell people in the constituency that why it was essential to pass any bill and the bill to provide relief to Kulbhushan Jadhav. It is the right of fishermen to give his point of view about any bill about maritime and we should take views of the people living in the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan.

One thousand billion rupees of Imran Khan’s corruption has been caught – Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD. June 10, 2021: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called out the PTI government for causing a loss of up to Rs 1,000 billion to the national exchequer by changing interest rates. He also condemned the selected budget of the selected government.

In a statement issued from the Media Cell Bilawal House, the Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari declared, “We refuse to accept this preposterous budget. It’s evident the budget is political and has not been designed to favor the public.

Commenting on some of the questionable activities of the PM, Chairman PPP reminded the nation of the 2 billion dollars Imran Khan took from some of his special international investors. The interest rate was then fixed at 13.25% and was returned after all of the PM’s cronies had benefitted.

“The puppet Prime Minister is answerable to the nation,” said Chairman PPP, “He must tell us why a damage of Rs 300 billion was caused to the national exchequer. Who was the damage caused for?” he questioned. “Which capitalist friends benefited from these two billion dollars? He must answer why his government raised the interest rate to 13.25% when IMF had asked to keep it at 12%.”

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, further demanded the PM also be held accountable for changing the interest rates of Pakistan’s Investment Bonds – a decision that benefited certain investors with up to a profit of Rs 700 billion.

“Imran Khan has been caught stealing Rs 700 billion, and Rs 300 billion on two billion dollars from the Pakistan Investment Bonds,” said Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, exposing the fraudulent Prime Minister. “Thus, a total of one thousand billion rupees of Imran Khan’s corruption has been caught.”

Demanding a parliamentary inquiry for committing mega corruption, he warned, “We will not stay silent while Imran Khan and his associates cause irreparable damage to the national treasury. They will not be allowed to flee the country.”

Stating that the PPP was determined to protect the country’s future, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, “Pakistan Peoples Party will hold Imran Khan accountable for every single rupee of this mega corruption scandal. The selected government can no longer mislead the people,” he concluded.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s statement on National Economic Council

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD. June 9, 2021: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly condemned the decision of the National Economic Council to allocate a meager fund for the health and education sector in the upcoming budget. He demanded an increase in the allotted funds so the country could fight the corona virus pandemic head-on.

In a statement issued from the Media Cell Bilawal House, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated, “Allocating only Rs 30 billion for the health sector in the upcoming budget is preposterous. With this allotment, the PTI government is handing the people over to the epidemic.”

By dedicating only 3.3% of the budget to the health sector, it is clear the incompetent PTI government does not consider health as a top priority. “Rs 68 billion from the budget was allotted to please PTI’s assembly members, while only Rs 5 billion have been set aside for epidemic prevention,” lamented Chairman PPP.

The unjust and anti-people budget has also allocated only 5.5% of the funding for the education sector. “Imran Khan has made the future of the nation a joke,” proclaimed Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Instead, the mafia working under Imran Khan claims to focus on development projects that were inaugurated but never completed. “Mr. Prime Minister! If the country does not develop by building roads, then why did you increase the development budget by 38%?” Chairman PPP asked. Rejecting the budget, he declared, “The selected Prime Minister made a selected budget which will not be accepted in any way.”

Chairman PPP also criticized Imran Khan’s government for allotting more development budgets for provinces where the PTI government reigns. “With this move, Imran khan proved he does not consider himself the prime minister of the entire country,” stated Chairman PPP.

PPP leaders’ press conference in Islamabad

Islamabad, 9 June 2021: Secretary Finance Pakistan Peoples Party, Senator Salim Mandviwala addressed a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday with Shazia Atta Marri, Faisal Karim Kundi and Haider Zaman Qureshi.

PTI’s leader Imran Khan has spoken nothing but corruption over the last1000 days in power but his own government is engulfed in corruption scandals. Imran Khan failed to introduce reforms in any sector. The power crisis has escalated in the last three years and the water dispute between provinces is escalating. Agriculture was destroyed and a food exporting country was turned into a food importing country. Imran Khan had promised 50 lac houses but not a single house was handed over to any person.

GSP Plus status will not be available for Pakistan which was made available by the PPP. The government failed to fulfill any of its promises in 1,027 days in power. Taxes of Rs 750 billion have been levied on the poor people of Pakistan. The government has increased taxes on the people whereas the GDP growth is zero.

The government is blaming every failure on the Covid-19. The covid-19 vaccine was not available for months in the country.  Tax collection was doubled during PPP and has now reduced. In terms of dollars, the PPP had collected 36 billion dollars whereas the PTI government has collected only 26 billion dollars. The Benazir Bhutto Income Support Program cannot be renamed because it was introduced by an act of the parliament. The PPP had doubled salaries and pensions.

The IMF did not press for an increase in interest rate but the governor SBP increased it. The governor will be held accountable for 700 billion rupees.  It is ironic that the government was not aware of Governor SBP’s actions.

Tax payer data should be collected from all over the country through NADRA. There is no focus on the agriculture sector. Asif Ali Zardari says there is no need to import anything in this country. Businesses were shut down during the Covid-19 pandemic in countries around the world but their employees were paid salaries by the government. People are paying 7 percent tax on Roshan digital account. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has left the matter of passing the budget to the Leader of the Opposition. Steel Mill and PIA are closed then how will they be downsized, he asked. The salaries of railway employees are provided by the Ministry of Finance and not from the railway account.

Shazia Marri said that IRSA is not fulfilling its responsibility in the case of water distribution among the provinces. The government should pay attention to the issue of water and solve it, she demanded. She said that the government’s performance is zero. If the performance of the Sindh government is so bad then how is the PPP winning the by-elections, Shazia Marri asked.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s statement government economic policy

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD. June 7, 2021: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari criticized PTI’s lack of concern for the common man and their failed economic policies damaging the future of Pakistan. He pointed out that due to the anti-people policies of the selected PM, even the middle class of the country has fallen into poverty.

In a statement issued from the Media Cell Bilawal House, Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari demanded PM Imran Khan Niazi be held accountable for the false promises he made to the public during elections. “The puppet Prime Minister, who vowed for a change in 90 days, is now fooling the people once again by announcing to solve the country’s problems in the next government. What a cruel joke he is playing on the nation” he said.

“Does the PM think we have forgotten the claims he made regarding job creation?” questioned Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. “He gave his word and promised our people 10 million jobs. But when he came to power, he did the opposite – he snatched away jobs from the people.”

Highlighting the PM’s inexcusable decisions during his tenure, Chairman PPP pointed out that inflation was imposed on 200 million people of Pakistan. This was done just so the reigning government and the PM’s cronies can benefit from the underprivileged’s fruits of labor. “The countrymen are not blind,” said Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, “They can see how PTI has created economic policies that are leading the rich to get richer, while the poor are getting poorer. Imran Khan’s big claims of economic development have collapsed.”

According to Chairman PPP, Pakistan now needs a savior. That savior can only be Pakistan Peoples Party and their economic policies that have done wonders for the country in the past. He also said that increasing the debt of the country does not count as successful leadership. What matters is the growth in employment and the availability of “ROTI KAPRA AUR MAKAN.”

“If the direction of the country’s economy is to be corrected, we must save the country from future experiments like Imran Khan,” stated Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. “Our past tenures speak volumes of the benefits we have provided for the people. PPP’s economic policies are not for the rich, but for the improvement of the lives of the common man.”

Speaking of PPP’s economic achievements, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, “Our accomplishments include record employment for the youth, the Pak-China Economic Corridor, and a GSP Plus Status from Europe,” he disclosed. “These are achievements that will not be forgotten.”

Chairman Bilawal demands immediate inquiry into train accident

Islamabad, 7 June 2021: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while speaking in the National Assembly has demanded an immediate inquiry regarding the recent train tragedy. He said that ever since the arrival of the current government, tragedies involving trains have been taking place frequently and the government’s ministers are doing politics over them.

Chairman Bilawal demanded an immediate inquiry into the matter and for its report to be made available as soon as possible. The situation is such that the PM Iman Khan had to take to Twitter to announce that the railway minister would visit the scene of the tragedy. PM Khan himself has demanded resignation from the railway minister in the past over train accidents, he said.

Chairman Bilawal stated that the DS Railway in his letter had identified thirty such areas where the train tracks were deteriorating, and the place where the tragedy occurred was among them.
