Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari statement

ISLAMABAD/KARACHI. May 18, 2021: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that since the day Prime Minister Imran Khan had been imposed on Pakistan, flour prices have skyrocketed by 30 percent.

In a press statement issued from Media Cell Bilawal House, the PPP Chairman said that the puppet Prime Minister had turned out to be the patron of mafias, enabling them to snatch even the last morsel from the mouths of the poor by artificially hiking flour prices. “The rate of inflation and prices of essential commodities in the country have escalated by 15 percent,” he added.

He said that Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi’s imposition as Chief Executive of this country and his subsequent incompetence had exposed his hollow and patently false slogans of change and anti-corruption.  “ Imran Khan has completely been exposed to be the most incompetent PM, and he is utterly unfit to run the country’s affairs,” he stated.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also said that the metric for calculating the economic growth of a country lies in the lived experience of the masses, not fudged reports tailored by subordinates sitting in air-conditioned rooms to deceive the masses and to please their masters.

He said that it was a shame that the chief executive of a country like Pakistan has no policy to improve the economy, and keeps  it dependent on loans and aid by begging from country to country. A Chief Executive that believes begging is a sustainable and feasible policy to pull a country out of crisis can never rid the country of inflation. “The only way out of the economic quagmire is to get rid of the selected and incompetent PM, Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi,” he added.

The PPP Chairman said that the flawed economic policies of the selected PTI-led Federal government had pushed at least 2.5 million Pakistani citizens below the poverty line in just a single year.

“PM Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi is totally ignorant of the ground realities in the country. He talks about economic growth but doesn’t know workers have seen their wages slashed by up to a quarter,” he pointed out.

Opposition Requisitions Senate Session to condemn Israel’s state terrorism

Islamabad, May 18, 2021: Speaking about the requisition for an extraordinary session of the Senate of Pakistan to condemn Israel’s systematic assault against Palestinian worshippers in the Haram-al-Sharif during the holy month of Ramzan, PPP Parliamentary Leader in the Senate, Senator Sherry Rehman said, “The motion for the requisitioned session of the Senate which was signed by 49 opposition Senators, demands an end to Israeli state terrorism and murderous attacks on Gaza, as well as the ongoing violent and illegal occupation of Palestinian lands in the worst example of settler colonialism”.

“Pakistan has always condemned Israel’s use of disproportionate force and its deliberate policy of expanding illegal settlements forcing Palestinians to leave their homes but these recent Israeli hostilities are the worst that this territory has seen since the 2014 war. Their security forces raided the mosque multiple times and used tear gas, stun grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets to disperse worshippers at the mosque. At least 212 Palestinians have been killed in hundreds of airstrikes in Gaza, including 61 children and 37 women. About 34,000 Palestinians have been displaced from their homes. There can be no normalisation of Israel’s actions which are a clear violation of international humanitarian laws; it must be held accountable for its one-sided aggression,” she added.

She said, “Since there is no temporary truce, the medics in Gaza do not even have time to recover people from under collapsed buildings. The health care system in Gaza was already struggling because of the surge in Coronavirus infections and now it is overwhelmed with the wounded. At this point Israel is deliberately targeting health facilities with air strikes, and bombing the roads surrounding al-Shifa, the largest medical centre in the Gaza Strip”.

“It is important to do more than just issue statements that condemn Israel’s aggression, and this session should also serve as an important opportunity to share strategies that could lead to a just peace. Like always, Pakistan continues to stand with Palestine and support the people in their struggle. Unfortunately so far whatever we have done has not been enough so we all must come together to find the path to ending this historic injustice,” concluded Vice President PPPP Senator Sherry Rehman.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on price hike in Eid days

ISLAMABAD/ KARACHI. May 17, 2021: The Chairman Pakistan people’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, slammed the PTI-led federal government over unprecedented inflation of essential goods, saying that the selected Prime Minister Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi had failed to provide any relief to the masses even during the Eid period.

In a statement, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that just over the festive period of eid, people had to contend with 30% inflation of clothes and shoe prices.

The PTI-led federal government, he said,  had decimated the purchasing power of the masses. Championing a fraudulent slogan of change, the government had robbed people of even the few joys they could indulge in, he added. While the PM  was busy violating his own governments directives by visiting Nathia Gali during the eid holidays, the country had been abandoned to suffer the myriad of miseries his government  had unleashed on the populace.

An increase in meat prices of Rupees 200 per kilogram over the Eid period was a clear and candid sign of the selected PM’s sheer  and utter failure, lamented the Chairman PPP.

“The selected PM continues to wreak havoc on  the common man, with mafias given carte blanche to  artificially and arbitrarily hike prices. The increase in price of poultry products by Rupees 600 a kilogram is an insult to those who believed in the selected PMs false and hollow promises of change.”

While addressing the selected and ineligible PM Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi, the Chairman PPP said that the people were fed up with the PTI-led federal government, and their inability to tackle rampant inflation across the country and across every sector.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari added that the selected PM was trying to fraudulently claim credit for the revolutionary Benazir Income Support Programme, thinking that a simple name change would fool the masses into thinking he cared for them. The Prime Minister  and country would be better served if instead of trying to erase the legacy of Pakistan’s first female PM, he focused on changing the structural inequalities his government so proudly propogates.

The Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari  went on to say that if  that if the selected Prime Minister couldn’t be bothered to try control inflation and skyrocketing inflation even  on the occasion of Eid, how could the people expect any empathy from him on a daily basis.

PM Imran Khan conspiring to convert Sindh’s fertile lands into parched desert through depriving it of due water share: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD. May 16, 2021: Criticizing the PTI-led Federal Governments actions in depriving Sindh of its rightful share of water and artificially creating a water crisis, the Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that  Prime Minister Imran Khan was overseeing a brutal campaign against the people of Sindh. He lamented that the province of Sindh had been kept thirsty and dry  during the entire holy month of Ramazan, and that the federal government didn’t even deign to ease the water woes of the people over Eid.

In an issued statement, the Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari warned the puppet Prime Minister and his government that their artificially created water crisis in Sindh would have  severe repercussions for the federation. He pointed out that the acute water crisis in Sindh had badly affected the province, adding that Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal and Tharparkar have all been suffering severely.

The Indus River System Authority (IRSA), which was mandated to ensure a smooth water supply based on the 1991 Water Accord, was blatantly and illegally depriving Sindh of up to 20 percent of  its water supply, the PPP Chairman said.

Deploring the role of IRSA, he demanded that they strictly adhere to their mandate and ensure Sindh receive its due share immediately.

“The officials at IRSA will have to explain on whose orders they have been depriving Sindh of water, and on whose nefarious agenda they are converting Sindhs fertile lands into a parched desert.”

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while addressing the selected PM Imran Khan asked him to immediately cease his anti-Sindh vendetta, under which he has left no stone unturned in trying to render Sindh a desert.

He implored the other provinces to follow Sindhs lead and to implement effective plans to better distribute water to all Pakistanis. He pointed out that Sindh had helped ease Baluchistans water woes by releasing water from Sindh’s Guddu Barrage despite the ongoing acute water crisis in Sindh.

All parts of Pakistan should continue to get water per the agreed schedule of the water supply formula, he said.

“If any province is being deprived of their constitutional rights, then that will only weaken the federation. Depriving Sindh of water, is depriving Sindh of its constitutional rights. And I will not remain silent as the government steals from the people what is rightfully theirs.”

Mentioning the  controversial Chashma-Jehlum Canal, he pointed out that even today it was siphoning off 2000 cusecs of  Sindhs rightful and constitutional share of water.

He also demanded that IRSA must not issue no-objection certificates for the setting up of power plants on the Panjnad and Chashma-Jhelum link canals. Doing so would only give IRSA and the government to keep water canals open throughout the year and it would further deprive Sindh and Balochistan of their constitutional share of water.

Even the controversial spring Jhelum Link Canal should only be opened when a release of water is required to KOTRI downstream, said the Chairman PPP.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that water had been continuously released from Tarbella Dam, delaying necessary maintenance till February, and leaving Tarbella Dam  unfilled despite heavy showers.

Drawing attention to the rice harvesting season, he asked the PM to explain his ulterior motives for depriving Sindh of its due water needs at this time.

The Chairman PPP also pointed out the devastating effect the federal governments water policies are having on cotton production. He continued to remind the Prime Minister that the PTI was already overseeing a decimation of our textile sector and that depriving Sindh of water and effecting cotton supplies would be the final nail in the coffin of one of Pakistan’s major industries.

Chairman PPP greets Muslims on the eve of Eid ul Fitr

Chairman PPP Bilwal Bhutto Zardari has issued the following message on the eve of Eidul Fitr on Friday.
Islamabad May 13, 2021: “On the auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitr I wish to greet the Muslims throughout the world and of Pakistan in particular and pray for peace and prosperity in Pakistan, peace for the Palestinians and throughout the world.
“The Eid celebrations this year must be subdued because of the havoc that has been brought upon the innocent Palestinian men, women and children on the one hand and the havoc caused by pandemic in many regions of the world on the other.
“My thoughts go out to the poor who are worst hit by pandemic induced unemployment and inflation and economic mismanagement. On this occasion I urge the affluent to share the joy of Eid with their less fortunate brethren.
“Tolerance, humility and a consideration for the less fortunate ones are the values taught by the holy month of Ramazan. The need for imbibing this spirit has never been so great as today.
“On this occasion let us also remember the enforcedly disappeared, those incarcerated in internment centres without due process and without trial and the victims of brutalities and injustices whether Muslims or Non Muslims. Our thoughts also go out to those who have laid down their lives in the cause of the country and the cause of peace.
“I should also like to urge everyone that whatever way you may choose to celebrate it is important to keep in mind the safety precautions imposed on all of us by the pandemic”.

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the enemy of the people of Pakistan is nobody else than the incumbent Prime Minister Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi.

In a statement issued from the Media Cell Bilawal House, he said that the selected PM achieved nothing except 19,000 bags of rice in charity from Saudi Arabia in the form of Fitra and Zakat. “The price of rice bags got in charity is comparatively cheaper then the expenses accrued on the tour to the kingdom by Imran Khan along with a couple of dozen of friends and ministers,” he added.

The PPP Chairman said that the nation has finally found that puppet Prime Minister’s 25-year long struggle was to render nuclear power, Pakistan, a beggar country and hence it is prayed that such a shameful struggle would have not existed. “The entire struggle was for just 19,000 bags of rice in charity,” he lamented.

While addressing the PM Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi, the Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the selected PM has fully been exposed in his deceptive actions on controlling the price-hike and taking notes on it. “Illegitimate Prime Minister who is enjoying his Eid vacations in Nathia Galli barely knows how his Tsunami has wreaked havoc on the masses,” he added.
He questioned the PM as to what he has so far done for the daily-wagers who can’t make a living during complete lockdown as compared to those salaried classes of people that might cop up with the existing situation at least.

The PPP Chairman deplored the PM’s indifference and asked him to have mercy on the poor. The sheer 19 percent hike in the prices of bakery products has been recorded. “Unfortunately, the incumbent PTI-led Federal government does not have the capability or policy for controlling the hoardings and profiteering and hence the Federal government should at least enforce the government rates of commodities in letter and spirit,” he concluded.

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has asked the Prime Minister to explain to the public why his government was compelled to repay Saudi Arabia’s USD 3 billion loan, and what it is going to cost the nation for taking a commercial loan from China to clear the Saudi soft loan.

The PPP Chairman said that Imran Khan had promised to break Pakistan free from the debt trap, but since coming to power he has buried Pakistan under loans, taking the begging bowl everywhere he goes. “He (Imran Khan) has extensive experience in soliciting alms and donations, but countries do not, can not, and should not run on donations,” he stated.

The PPP Chairman said that the life of the common man in Pakistan had become unbearable due to the poor economic policies of Imran Khan’s regime. With the per capita debt now at Rs175,000, every Pakistani is paying the price for Imran’s Khans incompetence.

Common people would continue to suffer unprecedented inflation, poverty, and unemployment if the federal governments pushes Pakistan further into debt and compounds it with their corruption and mismanagement.

“Every person in Pakistan is paying a terrible price for the tsunami of Imran Khan’s transformation,” he added.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that due to the circular debt crises, the government has been unable to keep its financial commitments to our international partners, putting projects such as CPEC at risk.

“The hesitation of the Chinese government in releasing the committed USD 6 billion funds for the ML-1 railway track, is in fact an expression of distrust in the PTI regime,” he said, adding that Chinese companies investing in Pakistan have also apprised the Chinese government of their distrust of the PTI government.

The PPP Chairman further said that the puppet Prime Minister had created a climate where foreign investors and governments had become reluctant to invest in Pakistan and engage with the federal government.
