Callous government ignores bereaved families of Hazara community

Secretary Information Pakistan Peoples Party parliamentarians, Dr. Nafisa Shah MNA has said that sending a jester like Shaikh Rasheed to Quetta for resolving sit-in issue by the Hazara community against the killing of miners in Machh two days ago was a joke.

Dr. Shah in a statement said that the government is totally ignorant of the feelings of the people who lost their loved ones in sectarian terror attack. She said that it is unfortunate that Prime Minister Imran Khan has not yet gone to Quetta to condole with the families of the miners. This is the time to show compassion to the bereaved families instead Imran Khan chose to hold meeting of his foul-mouthed spokespersons. During the PPP government, the then prime minister with his cabinet members had joined the sit-in of Hazara community to express solidarity with the bereaved families. Questions are being raised in the world regarding law and order situation and violation of human rights in the country, Dr. Shah said. This is the time to act on National Action Plan in letter and spirit, Dr. Nafisa ShahShah demanded.

The PTI government is a sinking ship

Islamabad, 4 January 2021: Pakistan Peoples Party’s leaders Dr. Nafisa Shah, Palwasha Khan and Naz Baloch in a joint press conference held in Islamabad have slated the selected government of Imran Khan for creating havoc in the country.

Dr. Nafisa Shah has said that with the appointment of Sheikh Rasheed as interior minister a new wave of terror has arrived in Pakistan. A young student was killed by the very people who were supposed to protect his life and property. The unfortunate incident in Machh in which eleven miners were killed by terrorists on sectarian grounds has rattled the nation.

Dr. Nafisa Shah said that this anti-people government increased the petroleum prices on the new year. Every month, the electricity and gas bills are being increased on the directives of IMF. Imran Khan is the only person in all of Pakistan whose palace in Bani Gala was regularized, whereas the houses of poor people have been razed to the ground.

Palwasha Khan strongly condemning the killing of innocent student in Islamabad said that the interior minister does nothing besides issuing political statements against the opposition. The foreign minister does not know that every month, 20,000 people are being sent back to Pakistan from abroad. This government has alienated Pakistan in the global community.

Naz Baloch addressing the press conference said that even the white collar professionals are facing economic constraints in this government. On one hand, the government is using NAB as a tool of victimization whereas on the other, the government is protecting sugar, flour, medicine and fuel thieves.

The PPP leaders said that all the members of assemblies have submitted their resignations to the party leadership and they will be used at the appropriate time. They said that the government allies are abandoning the government because no one wants to be traveling in a sinking ship. They said that resignations are like a nuclear weapon and will be used at the end. The establishment should not interfere in politics and every institution should work within its domain according to the constitution.

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that any option of dialogue at national level is only possible when the current anti-people and illegitimate puppet Prime Minister steps down

THATTA, January 3: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that any option of dialogue at national level is only possible when the current anti-people and illegitimate puppet Prime Minister steps down adding that Imran Khan wants only to save his seat.

PPP Chairman expressed these views while addressing a press conference in Thatta after offering condolences to the family of the late Aijaz Ali Shah Shirazi, former advisor to the Sindh Chief Minister. Murad Ali Shah Chief Minister, Sindh, Provincial Ministers Nasir Hussain Shah, Suhail Anwar Sial and other PPP leaders and legislators were also present on the occasion.

He said that the only platform for the national dialogue would be the Parliament, but before that the anti-people Prime Minister would have to resign, so that political solutions could be found. Criticizing the Federal government, he said that every section of the country, including farmers, laborers, small traders, students and doctors, were fed up with the present government, which was unable to send their children to school or provide them with medicines. People have to bear the brunt of the inflation and unemployment situation only because of incompetent and incapable puppet Prime Minister.

He said that the Prime Minister should go who could not increase the salaries and pensions of the people and reduce the inflation even in electricity and gas bills. The people should have the opportunity to choose someone who can solve their problems because Imran Khan has dragged the country’s economy into shambles as our growth rate has fallen negative and below than Bangladesh and Afghanistan’s, he added.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the PTI government has announced more concessions for the construction and other mafias and there are bailout packages worth billions of rupees for the rich, but it is not ready to do anything for the poor.

The PPP Chairman strongly condemned the brutal killing of coal miners in Balochistan and demanded that the government ensure the safety of the workers and start implementing the National Action Plan, which the present government has completely forgotten. “Ever since the current government came to power, we have seen big terrorists fleeing from custody,” he said. Such tragic incidents would not have happened if the Prime Minister and Interior Minister had fulfilled their responsibilities instead of making noise against the PDM, he added.

In response to a question, he said that PDM is united. The PPP’s Central Executive Committee has ratified all the decisions of the opposition coalition adding that the victory of the PPP is the victory of the PDM, and the victory of the PDM is the pride of the people. Whether by-elections or other matters, all decisions will be made by consensus. We will remove the current puppet regime and hybrid system from power. This puppet regime can only target measures like the 18th Amendment, the NFC, and Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), he stated.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the role of PPP has been at the forefront in the struggle against the occupation of the islands, which has also raised the issue from the platform of PDM. He pointed out that despite Sindh and Balochistan producing the most gas, they were not getting their fair share in supply.

PPP CEC meeting endorses PDM action plan:

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari says Imran regime cannot survive a single day without illegitimate support from establishment

KARACHI, December 29: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that his Party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) has endorsed all decisions and action plan of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) including submission of resignations of Assembly members to the Party leadership and stressed that the present incompetent, incapable, illegitimate and corrupt government should be challenged at every forum and every political weapon should be used against it.

The PPP Chairman expressed these views while addressing a press conference following the meeting of his party’s Central Executive Committee at Bilawal House and added that the CEC had also ratified the decision of the PDM to collect resignations by December 31.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardarui that the PTI regime has dragged the country to worst-ever economic quagmire in the region with negative growth rate and unprecedented inflation trailing far behind even from Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Root-cause the sufferings of people of Pakistan is the illegitimate support of the establishment to the PTI regime and its interference in politics, he said adding that PDM struggle was heading to genuine democracy, he added.

He said that the selected regime should be politically attacked from all sides including roads, assemblies, Senate and courts. The resignations are an atom bomb, it has not been decided when they will be used, it has just been decided that the members of the assembly will submit their resignations to their respective leadership by December 31. If we contest the Senate elections together, we can win, but the final decision will be by consensus of the PDM, he added.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that now is the time for Imran Khan to resign and go home. If the selected PM does not go himself, we will send him home. Establishment interference in domestic politics must be stopped as we believe that PTI government cannot sustain even for a single day if it is deprived of the illegitimate support of the establishment, he stated.

The PPP Chairman said that the CEC has decided that the Party would make direct contact with labourers, farmers, students, doctors, lady health workers and lawyers’ organizations, including Pakistan Steel Mills and PIA workers. Because unless we fight together, we will not succeed. He said that the issue of census is in fact a matter of concern in the whole country where injustices have been committed against the provinces. PPP position on this issue has been clear from day one. All parties that are openly talking against the census results will be contacted to work together and the same issue will also be raised in the PDM forum.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the CEC meeting has also condemned the occupation of the islands by PTI government, and will liaise with the parties which are already protesting on this issue, and we will resist together with them. He further said that the meeting strongly condemned the rigging in the recent elections in Gilgit-Baltistan and demanded that immediate steps be taken to ensure fair and transparent elections in the future including in the upcoming general elections of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).

The PPP Chairman said that his Party’s CEC had also strongly condemned the atrocities against the people in occupied Kashmir at the hands of Indian occupying forces and called upon the international community to play its due role.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also strongly condemned the arrest of PML-N leader Khawaja Asif and said that this act of revenge was against the security and stability of Pakistan adding that we want across the board accountability of all instead of an accountability aimed at political engineering and victimisation.

Earlier, the PPP Central Executive Committee met at Bilawal House, co-chaired by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PPP Parliamentarian President Asif Ali Zardari. During the meeting, organizational matters, including the overall political situation in the country were discussed and future course of action was worked out.
