Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Secretary General Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari has congratulated the party\u2019s winning candidates in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, saying the result reflects the public\u2019s commitment to democracy and the legacy of the Bhutto family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement issued on Friday, Bukhari saluted the \u201cBhuttoist jiyalas\u201d of Gilgit-Baltistan and thanked the region\u2019s voters for supporting PPP candidates. He said the people had voted for a strong Pakistan and stable democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe conscious voters have ensured the victory of jiyala candidates for the sake of a strong Pakistan and stable democracy,\u201d Bukhari said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He noted that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari\u2019s slogan of people’s rule had resonated widely with the public. According to Bukhari, the outreach campaign led by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the presence of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto\u2019s legacy during the campaign evoked the spirit of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bukhari said the PPP had emerged as the majority party in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly. He added that the party\u2019s elected members would contribute to the region\u2019s development through constitutional and public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe people\u2019s democratic government of the PPP in Gilgit-Baltistan will fulfill all promises related to health, education, housing, and employment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bukhari affirmed that under Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari\u2019s leadership, the PPP remains committed to the manifesto, ideology, and principles of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto<\/p>\n\n\n\n
