Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of three devoted PPP workers—Shaheed Usman Ghani, Shaheed Idrees Totee and Shaheed Idrees Baig—on the occasion of their martyrdom anniversary.
In August 1984, Shaheed Usman Ghani and Shaheed Idrees Totee were executed at Kot Lakhpat Jail, while Shaheed Idrees Baig was executed at Rawalpindi District Jail, laying down their lives for democracy and the ideals of the PPP.
According to the press release issued by the Media Cell Bilawal House, Chairman PPP said that these brave Jiyalas embraced martyrdom with courage and dignity, remaining steadfast in their commitment to the ideals of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. “Their blood strengthened the roots of democracy and reaffirmed that the struggle for the people’s rights can never be silenced by tyranny or oppression,” he said.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the sacrifices of Shaheed Usman Ghani, Shaheed Idrees Totee and Shaheed Idrees Baig are a sacred trust for every Jiyala and a timeless reminder that the PPP has always paid the highest price in the struggle for democracy, constitutional supremacy and the dignity of the people.
