On the occasion of International Youth Day, I extend warmest greetings to the vibrant and dynamic youth across Pakistan and around the world. Today is a celebration of the potential, resilience and energy that the youth bring to the progress and transformation of our nation.
Pakistan has one of the world’s largest youth population with 67% below the age of 30. Our young women and men are the driving force behind our country’s growth, technological innovations, educational excellence, healthcare sysyem, leading social reforms, serving in public life and making their mark in sports, arts and culture. Their passion, creativity and determination are the foundation upon which the future of Pakistan rests.
True empowerment comes when the young people are provided with the tools and space to thrive. It is imperative that our youth, regardless of gender, background, ethnicity or geographic location, have equal access to quality education, modern skill development, digital technology and meaningful employment opportunities. Investing in our youth is a direct investment in the future of our country.
Our young women and girls have an indispensable role in shaping our national destiny. We must break down systemic barriers so that young women can freely pursue their ambitions, get quality education, join the workforce and step into leadership roles. We must foster an inclusive environment where young people from all communities, minorities and marginalized groups feel empowered to contribute fully to national life.
I call upon civil society, families, parents, educational institutions and the relevant government institutions to actively support, mentor and listen to our young generation. The trust, resources and encouragement we give our young people today will define the strength, stability and character of the Pakistan they lead tomorrow.
May the youth of Pakistan continue to shine and lead our nation toward a brighter, inclusive and prosperous tomorrow.
